A disposal truck became lodged under the Cedar Valley Nature Trail bridge on Thursday.
The garbage truck, owned by ABC Disposal, was heading east on Fishel Road when it became stuck under the bridge shortly afternoon.
Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies, Linn County Sheriff’s Rescue 57, Linn County Secondary Roads Department, and the Linn County Conservation Office all responded to the accident at 3229 Fishel Road.
The bridge did collapse after the truck was removed. No one was injured.
The area of the trail between Lafayette Road and East Otter Road will remain closed.
