Elected officials want to hear from you! Time and again, we hear how important local stories are for elected officials when making decisions on behalf of their constituents. It doesn’t matter if you prefer trails, roads, singletrack, or gravel for riding your bike, your voice matters and we need all of our collective voices to make a difference for Iowa cyclists.

We are hosting the 2020 Iowa Bicycling Day at the Capitol to discuss 2020 legislative priorities with elected officials. You can join us and other like-minded cyclists in Des Moines on January 22 to speak to your elected officials about topics like:

We will assist with talking points, helping you find and contact your elected officials, and even help you find others from your community to work with. We need you to register so we can provide you with the best support and keep you up to date with details:

Can’t attend, but still want to be a part of the process? Your elected officials are in your communities prior to returning to session in Des Moines. It’s a great time to call them, have a quick meeting, or send an email. And during the session, they’re only a phone call or email away.
