Iowa Crossing Guard Trainer Course is Successful!
The Iowa Bicycle Coalition's Safe Routes to School program launched it's Adult School Crossing Guard Trainer Course during the week of November 16th, 2009. On Tuesday of that week the course was in Cedar Rapids and on Thursday it was in Ames.
The course has been successful training guard supervisors from Iowa communities. Particpants were quoted that they “Learned a lot about the useful role of safe crossing guards,” and “Learned many things that will be used and taught to others!”
