What is it and where do I sign up?
RAGBRAI® is the Des Moines Register's Annual Great Bike
Ride Across Iowa. The ride takes place during the last full week in July
with 10,000 or more bicyclists traveling from the Missouri River (or a town near
by) to the Mississippi River. Registration and more information is at
www.ragbrai.org.
How hard is the ride?
Iowa is not flat. A good rule of thumb is to have
500-600 miles of bicycling completed prior to the ride. More information
about training is available at
http://www.ragbrai.org/ragbrai-training.html. Of course, don't just
train on trails. Make sure you get out and ride on roads for your
training.

How do I get to the start town and how do I get home?
Participants are on their own for transportation.
Your registration includes baggage service between towns, but you may want to
invest in a charter to get a ride to and from the start town. Many cycling
clubs have charters and you can find more information at
http://www.ragbrai.org/charter-services.html.
